during the summer at night you can catch alot of small sandbars and a few blacktips. they are mostly around 3 foot long. almost never see a keeper size.
seen maybe 3 worthwhile sharks out there ever.. around 6' blacktips...tons on 3' sharpnose, doggies, and bts...heard stories of se monsters but i aint seenone yet
Any body remember mechanic I can't remember his reel name but
he use to fish tuna heads off the end .. I have been told he did pretty
good for the large sharks years ago.. Even having a 12/0 spooled
mechanic's real name is Andy. I saw him passing through last summer i think. Ive seen him and craig fishing with tuna heads or skates on those 12/0 reels (or whatever they were). But never saw anything get caught.
i did hear he got spooled. the next 54 incher i see caught will be the first ive seen since they changed the law.
Thanks for the reply Andy yeah that was his name.. He was a nice guy always
willing to share advise. I believe I was there with you you last summer when he
and his boy came traveling through .He wasn't fishing though.. I think 49 " is the
biggest shark I've seen out there since the rule change..
Good luck fishing !
I hope to be back to the CBBT soon..
