Has anyone ever fished at the sea gull pier at the chesapeake bay bridge and tunnel? If so what type of gear bait and what's caught there could anyone help me with thanks
You'll have better luck over on the Va. board. Short answer: depends on what you're fishing for. There are cobia and sharks in the summer if you're into bigger stuff, flounder around the pilings if you drag squid/gudgeons, and plenty of typical bottom fish if you're throwing bottom rigs. Use the site search and look for "seagull".
I'm afraid of heights, so fishing there felt uneasy for me. Great place to catch all different kinds of creatures. The bait they sell was crap. They are more interested in the restaurant and selling souvenirs.
I'm not experienced there but someone was fishing for tog near the entrance at the rocks. At the end of the pier, people were catching dogfish sharks and rays. In the middle we were catching a bunch of whiting.
