the flock is heading south right now, i've been watching them for 45 mins, current speed should put them at the pier in about half an hour. i threw a stingsilver and got two bumps, but couldn't hook up. they are definatly inside the range of surf casting, no wading. i saw what appeared to be a bluefish, wash up about 20 yards from me, that was promptly landed on by a gull. figures i'd miss the first two bites of 2003 and already have plans this afternoon.
