And in some dusty internet cafe in a third world nation, someone is wishing the same for George W Bush....

And a few here in the U.S., right?

Guess if you think one killing is the same as any other, that would make Lincoln, Roosevelt, and George Washington murderers as well.

Good to see him gone, hoping the same for Osama. I've got my opinions on the matter, but that's not for this board. Let's keep the politics for elsewhere.

You know the troops that got him are pumped beyond belief.

I was surprised that he was captured with no resistance.

Now, where is Osama Bin Missing?

Greetings sand flea!

Of course, Lincoln, Roosevelt, and George Washington went to war as a last resort, and all three were haunted by remorse for the death of the soldiers (both their own and the opposition) and the civilians (again, their own and the opposition.) These leaders had war thrust upon them.

Still don't get what 9-11 had to do with the invasion of iraq? I thought as first stated by the pres that it was because of Weapons of mass destruction? Yet there is still no proof to back that theory. Then comes the second: Saddam and Osama were working together? Still haven't seen any proof of that either.

I'll leave it at that.

Saddam being caught is definately a good thing.

If nothing else, it will help the Iraqis feel better. Hopefully, this will convince the Iraqis to help us a little more with the insurgents in Iraq.

Looking at his picture though, I wonder how much influence he still has/had. He looks messed up!

Yeah, he did look ragged. My first thought this morning on seeing the pictures was, "What the heck is Walter Mathau doing in Iraq?"

Greetings sharkbite!

Yes, sad to say, sixty per cent of Americans still think Sadam Hussein was behind 911. Its also become clear (at least to those who want to know the truth) that Hussein dismantled his WMD capability shortly after Desert Storm. Dr. Joseph Goebels would have had a field day in this country! And people wonder why education is such a low priority....

Things will be so much better now! We can convert the pagan Iraqis, and teach them to eat pork. We can let them have free elections, as long as they don't vote fundamentalist. With the money the Iraqi people will receive for their oil, I forsee an air conditioner in every house, Coors in every refrigerator, and the George W Bush National Bar-B-Que every Liberation Day. Crystal Cathedrals will replace mosques, and the new Iraqi National Anthem will be sung to the tune of "Yellow Rose of Texas." Waxing parlors will boom as Iraqi women shed that animalistic body hair to wear Dallas Cowgirl outfits. American tourists will flock to Baghdad for the casinos. Sunni and Shiite Muslims will work side by side to build a democracy based on the teachings of the Bible and supply side economics. The twin Haliburton Towers will stretch 190 stories into the air. The other Arab nations will see what they've been missing, and immediately follow suit. The Middle East will be the Garden Spot of the World.

And some hungry, shoeless kid in the Appalachians will see it all on the TV at the free clinic sponsored by the Bureau of Fossil Fuels, and hold his head high, because his dead father helped bring this all about. He'll forget about the cuts to Veteran Benefits that forced his family out of their modest house, and the fact that the schoolhouse closed due to lack of funding. He'll dream of the day when he'll be old enough to work the coal mine. He'll use his grandfathers hardhat, the one with the funny U.M.W. sticker (lord knows what that stood for, must have been the initials of one of Grandpa's friends!)

If only Charles Dickens were alive today!

Glad to see that he is captured but can see no change in what is happening in Iraq. Expect the same things to be happening for quite awhile.
Also have own ideas but they do not belong on this board.
Congradulations to the guys and gals for their good work.
