Rod selection

I'm currently using a Sea Striker Contour 6'6" 12-20 LB rated rod w/ a Pinnacle EX35 reel. More suited for Specks, but it does great for Schoolies out here. It's a cheaper model and will rust if you don't lube it up after a few trips. It's served me well so far.

Skunk.

I guess I'll be going out tomarrow to pick up the lighter
9' tica I beleive it's rated 1-3oz, may evan pick-up a spinning and a casting version.
thanks again,:fishing:

That 9' Tica light is a great rod for the money.

I really like the the 9' Tsunami Airwave, too.

Yeah like everyone else has said Tica rods are normally a safe bet. My buddy has a 9 footer that sucker will throw 2 oz a longggggg way, but he also has a expensive reel on it i think it was a Shimano Thunnus
