I am hosting a bachlor party for a chill guys weekend after labor day in sandbridge, might be a dumb question does anyone know if there is anywhere some of the guys can rent rods for the weekend?

Call the piers in va beach and check . I think one of them did but not sure if you can take them off there pier .I would think it wouldn't matter since you have a deposit down anyways.

If you have access to military installations you can rent rods from the marina at NOB.

For loner rods a couple months ago I picked up a couple Daiwa Samurai medium heavy spinning combos from Dick's...two for $35. Spooled them with 12 lb. yellow monofilament. Tried them on the pier throwing 2 oz on bottom rig and they work fine for spot and roundhead. Seems to be better quality than Walmart combos.
