I still got it a little bit. I decided to fish for rock fish this morning. I used the lures I use to use when boat fishing in shallow water this time of year long ago. It paid off. They hit pretty good. I caught two with the Chug Bug, a lot with a 4" white twister grub on a 1/4 OZ. ball head jig, most were under size on the twister, but two 18" and 19". Released all but one 19"er I took home for lunch tomorrow. I think my perch have moved out. I think! Fish Fish Bass Tail Bait

Holy Crap! I screwed up. I thought the the size limit was still 18". I feel really bad about this. I know I'm in trouble. I will pay the fine if it comes to that. Take it easy on me guys. I am sick over this.

Thanks Guys! I feel so bad about this. I don't fish for rock that is why I still thought it was 18". That is no excuse I know. This is the first time I fished for rock in about 18 years. Nice to know I can still catch them, but I am going to stick with fishing for perch, crappie, and bass. At least I did release all but one 19"er.

OK...now you did it!
I called DNR and they're on their way. :)

With all the illegal Rock being taken at KN, don't be too shook up. You made a mistake.
Sounds like you had a good day. Thanks for the post!

Don't trust cooler measuring sticks unless they have been cheked out by a real tape measure.
I have seen them as much as a half an inch off in a foot and a half.
Saw a guy get busted with keeping an undersized flounder because he went with the cooler, and when DNR checked, he was short.
No need getting ticketed when you are trying to do the right thing.

Sounds like you had a good day. Thanks for the post! The Chug Bug is a surface lure. It was one of the best lures for rockfish in shallow water for me for years. It is a salt water lure, but can be good for bass in fresh, or brackish water.
