Just got back Friday night. Roads were in great shape from Oregon Inlet all the way down to Hatteras Village (no water or damage). Straight onto the ferry to Ocracoke. Same conditions over there. Ramps all open except 72........took 70 down to southend and beach very flat/firm and southend has nice structure overall for some big drum. Fished high tide til 3am Friday and buddy got a 39 but nothing else. Friends fishing north end of Portsmouth reports no fish Thursday night either. Headed to Buxton Friday at 12pm and found 44 had washed completely to the dunes trapping trucks on either side from going or leaving the Point. Very narrow and absolutely no room for error. Unless things change, plan on accessing and leaving at least 2 hours either side of high tide! Never got to the Point to see what the structure looked like. Basically, all those planning on fishing have nothing to fear..........go FISH!!!!
