I fish SPSP and use two rigs.
1. Fish finder rig (snap swivel, bead, swivel, sinker and hook) for larger fish.
2. Hi/Lo rig that I make myself without any terminal hardware (Just hooks and sinker) for smaller fish.
While waiting for a strike, I cast lures with my other rod.
