Replacing Fathom ll Knob with dial

I just replaced the knob with the dail on the Fathom II and I can't get the clicker on the new dial back (had it for a second then took it back out to check the gasket and never got it back the same).. The mag and everything internal seems to be working fine just no clicker , also feel like there might be a little more tension on the dial which may not be a bad thing cause it actually resist movement just enough. But just wondering if there is a certain way to pop the dial back in to get the click back?
