Does anyone know where you can buy dressed replacement single hooks for Mepps spinners?
I would just use streamer flies, if you are fishing for Trout I would get Trout pattern flies.

You may have to bend the eyelet or it may even work with a down eyelet giving the trailer more action due to the off set.

A baby Rainbow fly pattern would likely be more attractive than just a squirrel tail standard Mepps trailer.

FlyShack.com has a great selection, so does Flathead but Flathead only ties for friends and family I think.

You may have to switch out the split ring with a smaller one to have play in the eyelet of a normal Trout size streamer.

I used to tie flies and jigs when I was young, still have a few left.

I was 12 years old and I bought a Herters Fly rod kit and a Herters Fly tying kit. I wanted to be like Joe Brooks or A.J. McClane at the time.

That is what I'm going to do, get some Mepps Aglia streamers or other single hook spinners.

Bought the Mepps Dressed Trout Kit to use in Yellowstone and the Tetons. But the fires out have closed the lodge we were going to stay at and the south entrance to Yellowstone is closed.

So we might just to Gatlinburg, Tn. and The Great Smoky Mountains. The trout stream in Gatlinburg only allow single hook spinning bait and no live bait.
