While checking the recent SC fishing regulations I see Flounder minimum legal length is now 15". When did that change?? Last year it was 14". Spotted Seatrout 14". When did it go up?? Just curious.

At least you have a limit. NC has shut down flounder season for recreational fishermen while the commercial big and small use their nets to rape the waters.

We went to 15" on flounder and dropped to 10/person or 20/boat in June '17. Trout went up to 14" quite a while back. Helps let everything spawn at least once before being harvested.

As long as the commercial guys are American, it's fine with me. Hate to say it, but jobs are more important than hobbies... although I'm not sold that recreational fishing was wiping out the population.
