I'm sure this subject must have come up a hundred times when talking about distance casting, but are different styles better for different rigs/baits/situations? I watched Tommy's videos (with envy) and wondered about thowing a 2 hook bottom rig or a fish finder rig. How well does the off-the-ground vs. hatteras vs. pendulum cast work? Are there some rigs and baits where a simple lob is more appropriate? I guess the basic question is: What works? Thanks.

you need a couple tricks IMO, a hatteras with different length drops as well as a nice overhead humpf cast for tight conditions and days you can't control a hatteras etc.

In most conditions you're up to your knutts in water so practice in a way that allows you to effectively cast in those conditions.
