How far around can you go now towards Oregon Inlet? When we left Buxton last Fall on our way back home, it appeared that some vehicles were pretty far around the corner towards the bridge. Coming down to KDH tonight and was thinking about fishing the Inlet the next few days.

Thanks,
John

Looks like it is open to the south. How far??? Have to have a local to tell you.
Dude Seriously! Have you even been on Ramp 4? Above Looks like something Dave would do!!!

The guy was basically asking if he could drive to the inlet down the beach. Ramp 4 is on the north side of the inlet...
To the OP, Yes, as far as I know yes you can drive to the inlet. You're still going to need an ORV sticker.. The office is across the road at Boddie Lighthouse

Well I asked on Oregon Inlet Idoits facebook page how far it was open. They said it was open all the way to the normal ped closure. As I live 6 hours from Boner Bridge I cannot easily get eyes on how far you can go. As for the OP I am sure he ran into the same thing I did last time I was down there: the beach was closed just a couple hundred yards south of Ramp 4.

For your information I have driven/fished all the open beach I have been able to since 2005 when I started surf fishing. Not as much as some, much more than others.

The information I gave was pertinent to the conversation. I did not know if the OP knew of the information.
