Heading to Onslow beach for my annual Fall fishing trip for the week of the 7th NOV. Is it worth even taking my crab trap? I was thinking they would be already in the mud for the winter. But who know's and I am sure someone out there would know better.. Thank you in advance for any input.. Would be the GF's deal with the crab pot. Grant

Crabs in Nov

I doubt they are in the mud but they do move to deeper water as it cools and their metabolism slows down so they don't eat as much and are not as aggressive about searchin for food. If you find where they are they should be nice and fat. Good news is that the price should be decent at the fish markets, at least cheaper than summer as demand is down.
