I am interested in finding a place were I can catch LARGE bluegill from shore. I am getting hooked on fishing with bluegill floating bugs and a float. It's fun with my light line and rod. I have been catching a lot of them, but I would like to catch some real large ones like we use to when I was a kid. The way I fish now days after all these years, I'm starting to feel like a kid again. :) Anyone know some good spots to try?

I don't know how good you can do from shore but piney run Reservoir in Sykesville md has had some of the biggest blue gill and crappie plus a host of other fish but I have rented canoes on the weekends and have caught huge blue gill on the other side from where you can fish from shore in weed beds

Thanks guys, I will keep looking and trying. Nick/catman, I use to ice fish Urieville, caught some huge bass through the ice. I live near, and fish Smithville Lake often. I fished there two days ago and caught 3 bass and lost two in the lily pads. I think I made a report with pictures, but no replies.
