Weakie,
Metapeake is a good place early in the season. Are you throwing plastics? I saw in an earlier post of yours that you prefer plastics.
I have never seen anyone use waders at Metapeake. Most use bait and bottomfish. Make sure you have your license and don't keep any fish.
I may join you there tonight. My wife has a hair appointment early tonight. I was thinking about going there after that. Or maybe tomorrow night. Anyone want to meet at Metapeake tonight and show Weakie the ins and outs of bay fishing?
one thing you don't need waders, unless you want to keep dry because it's sopose to rain heavy tonite(starting late afternoon into the evening hours)they are calling for hail in places and it's C&R only. This weekend is sopose to be in the 60's and no rain, much better weather, maybe some wind.
Are we lloking at the same forecast? I am seeing in the low 50's tonight and possible scattered thunderstorms early (dinner time), but just overcast from say 8 - midnight.

That's not bad fishing weather.
They are calling for scattered strong storms until 8pm according to weather.com. What is "strong" suppose to mean?

My friend and I'm planning to hit Matapeake tonight. If you see a asian guy with 9' ugly stik and penn6500, thats me.
Yo Yo! I do fish plastics only (cant afford bloodworms lol). I was mentioning waders just in case somebody said that the pier sucked but they know a great spot for waders! I try to be prepared.... Let me know if you guys are around, i will look for you. i have a green rod (no its not the snoopy rod :D )so you may be able to single me out if nobody else has the same color. my name is glenn.
Do you use any other lures than plastics? The old 450 bridge wouldn't be a bad spot to try some lures.I hear many Stripers are caught next to the right side near the end.You dont have to cast out too far;you can probily drop it right next to the pier. When I fish there I like to use tackle thats more on the heavy side.I might be down there somtime soon working the pier w/ bucktails and other lures heavier than say 1/2 oz.
jangwuah, you still going?
I may be out there tonight too, is there anyplace out there where bait may be purchased after 9pm, hopefully Walmart has some. If not I will be using lures.
HuskyMD,

My friend and I will be there around 8pm.
If they have them in, the local gas stations all sell bait.
There is a gas station (Shell I think) on the left after you turn onto the road that leads down to metapeake and romancoke.
If you can't find any, I plan on being there tonight with fishbites. You could buy a bag from me worst case scenario.
Oh, I plan on being there around 8 or 9. I'll stay until 12 probably.
I have a blue and black bag, two conventional set ups (one 12' Ugly and one 11' daiwa), and a green chair.
Come say hello.
Cool HuskyMD.

Its my first time meeting someone from the board. I would love to chat with you about live lining...

I only use lures. I dont really have the tackle for bait. If i plan on using o\it i'll usually pick up a few rigs. Im always up for any new spots if you know a better one. I am definitely going tonight. I am leaving here (westminster) aroung 6 so i gues around 8ish i will be there. I hope you guys can show me the ropes! I would appreciate it!

I can give you a rig or two. Just make sure you have a shockleader to handle the weight.

Or try plastics.
thank you my friend!
I have to stop by Sports Authority to get my license. I'll see about picking up some 4 or 5 ounce weights. I think I am running low.
Jangwuah,
Are you going to buy bloodworms?
