That'd be cool, especially if you could get one of the graphite ones that was collecting dust,Mulletbreath... I owned a graphite composite pushpole with my old boat.. Light, and worked great you could probably cut the ends and put in attachments for staking out or pushpoling a soft bottom as well... Great idea Jackalopehunter...goto a local high school and talk to the pole vaulting coach, see if they got any old poles lyin around just collecting dust. i know my high school had about 30 of those that were never used.
lAST ONE I MADE WAS A 12 FOOT CLOSET WOODEN HANGING POLE COVERED IN SEVERAL LAYERS OF SPAR VARNISH. tHEN BOUGHT T AND Y PVC FROM LOWES AND CAPPED THEM OFF, SCREWED IN A COUPLE OF EYELETS TO TIE DOWN AND LASTED FOR FIVE YEARS AND WHEN I LEFT FLORIDA , I LEFT IT WITH A FRIEND OF MINE WHO IS STILL USING IT.Any ideas for a cheap push pole out there?
