Is there any talk in the effected areas about what steps they are going to take to better prepare for a Hurricane remember this was started as a Cat 54 hurricane and was downgraded to a 2 when it hit land I can't think of the damage it would have done if is was a stronger storm.

A catagory 2 storm, with a catagory 4 storm surge. One reason for the damage, to the village.
I will leave for a 4 or 5. And will pack well, cause there won't be anything left to come back to.

I think if a 5 hit it would be like a nuke...would be so crazy. I doubt I would stand on the beach through that one.

My personal policy is Cat 1-3 stay where I am. Cat 4 or 5 OHIO looks Good.

I was just wondering because I read somewhere that Virginia Beach spent 85 million dollars to protect the beach from hurricane damage and it looks like they need to rethink about what when wrong and I also read 10 days after the storm there was still 400,000 homes without power I think they need to rethink that too, I heard that one offical from the power company stated that maybe the should have trimmed more trees. That to me is a very sad statement to make and it's not like the didn't have enough warning.

Maybe they should be putting these lines underground instead of stringing them up to be blown down again.
