Watch The Tides

Profish...The fish were there, you just fished the wrong part of the tide. Low tide at PLO was 8:42 PM, just about the time you arrived. Bad time to fish. High tide was 1:00 AM, just about the time you left. My experience has been that when shore fishing the most productive time is an hour or so into the outgoing (ebb) tide which should have been around 2:00 AM. Next time look at your tide chart and plan your trip around the tide, you'll put more fish in the cooler. At least with crappie fishing you don't have to deal with the tides. Hope you catch some nice slabs.

Catman.
