Hey Everyone,
Fished PLO (causeway) this past Thursday evening 9:00pm through 5:00am. Arrived in time to catch the last hour of the outgoing tide. Caught 5 croaker (dinks), and 2 spot (good size), used as bait. The incoming tide started about 1:30am. During the incoming caught 1 bluefish (pound 1/2), had one hook bit off (probably bluefish), multiple misses. Caught 1 rockfish (20 in. and very skinny), put him back to fatten up. Blue and Rock caught on cut spot. As I was loading my gear into the back of my truck at 5:00am I heard the sound of a rod in distress. I turned around to see my rod bent to the butt(drag set to tight), just as I went to pick it up the line broke (20lb. Stren). More than likley it was a skate, but I guess I'll never know for sure. That's the hard part to deal with.
Remember Ladies and Gentleman keep those drags backed off.
