That's good to know because the Southern Plat always it's a Gibbons moon for them. I'll have my trusty Zebco 202 ready. Are gaffs legal ?

Plataweisels (also spelled platawiesel) are currently in their wintering grounds just off Nova Scotia. It's not clear whether they are there to spawn or feed, but vast gelatinous egg masses have been washing onto Long Island beaches for the last couple of weeks.

With any luck, the Plataweisel will rise again as the Red Drum of New England.

Can anyone imagine the look on that first Pilgrim's face when one of the local Indians way back in time, showed them how to catch these fine creatures of the deep? I've often wondered about that fine "plat-chowder" served at the first Thanksgiving Feast.
