My Dad & I will be headed down to Topsail Island the 2nd week of Oct. and I was wondering if someone could recommend the best place to stay near the piers. I know the piers are spread out along the island but I have never stayed at either the Seaview or Jolly Roger. We don't need anything fancy- just clean and convenient to pier/surf fishing areas. Most of our fishing will likely be near the southern end of the island. Also, any good restaurant recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

Jolly Roger has a decent hotel that's reasonable priced. Treasure Realty has lots of rental properties. Good Restaurants in surf city and across from the Jolly Roger

The Breezeway is near the Jolly Roger. It has a pier on the soundside too.

Although I fish the JR .. I won't stay there.. He is the highest on the beach.. The place over in front of surf Ciry pier will be the best price. She hooked me up good a couple of years ago when I paid her Cash and a wink.. Meaning. Off the books..

It was in November just before she shut down for the winter.. I think it's called the Islander.. And a really nice place

Several places to stay in SC. Have stayed at the Island Inn in SC several times, it's decent with reasonable rates and you are right across from a beach access to surf fish. Tiffany's hotel is one of the newer places with nice rooms, rates a little higher than Island Inn but it's a block over from the ocean. Have stayed at Loggerhead Inn a couple of times over the years, the price is about as cheap as you will find but so is the room. A good deal is get with a realty company, you can rent a condo at Surf Condo's cheap in October. All are convenient to SC pier.

He mentioned Seaview pier in his original thread, you also mentioned SC pier in your response. It's not that big of an island.

I too will be heading up the NC Coast after traveling the Blue Ridge
just to show my wife how "the other people" fish "up there"....

We have stayed at Tiffany's in Topsail Beach NC twice and enjoyed both visits. Very clean, full sized kitchen, and friendly staff. We walked all the local piers on our first visit and chose to fish off the Seaview pier for both our visits. Seaview is an easy ten minute ride from Tiffany's.

Would go again, but really trying to set up an OBX trip. Not sure we can do one this year as my oldest daughter and family just lost everything in the flood in Livingston Parish LA. Maybe next year.

I wish the best for your daughter and her family in LA. Some of my family lost house and home in the floods in WV back in June. So many things that you lose are not replaceable.

Thanks. Got some good news this afternoon, the truck they thought was flooded survived and they only got a foot and a half of water in their home versus the several feet that others experienced so they may be able to save a lot of belongings they had stacked up high. They now have the long road of trying to relocate what they can once they can.
