Hey guys, this seems to be pretty new because i was able to run pierandsurf along with facebook simultaneously a few weeks ago. Started happening about last week. I know the ownership of the site got transferred over to another company, and I've started to see a bunch of ads underneath the first few posts in a thread and at the very bottom. I understand that they need to make revenue and i'm not saying that it's a problem.

But when i open this website, then open up facebook.com and login, Pierandsurf goes blank. It says facebook has been redirected too many times. And whenever i type in pierandsurf into the URL, it goes straight to that page. Or a facebook login page, IF i logout of facebook.com. Even when i enter my Facebook sign in, it takes me to the "redirected too many times" page. Im not really sure what this bug is, or how facebook redirect even affects it. But i have to clear my cookies and not log into facebook.com. If i do, i have to clear my cookies again just to open up pierandsurf.com.

Is it just me? Or does anyone else have this problem? This is in Chrome.

EDIT: I blocked 3rd party cookies on chrome and found that it has alleviated the problem. I guess the ad work is related between Facebook and this site. The ads on the very bottom of this site look familiar to click bait sites ive visited on facebook. Maybe that is the reason why it gives me the redirected page. I also switched over from Windows 7 to Windows 10, so i will uninstall and do a clean isntall of chrome as well.

EDIT #2: I don't see ads on pierandsurf anymore since blocking 3rd party cookies.

Not just you. I started the same problem Wednesday or so of last week.

Yep, posting this on another computer on right now. It's the same thing.

I mean it is an easy fix, by just blocking 3rd party cookies. So if anything, i hope this helps some people out.

I haven't had that particular problem. However, I got an email from one of my facebook friends. Heading said there was a pic I might like. And it had a link that was to be of a picture I would like. Hmmmm. Thing is, that friend confirmed that they never sent me any type of email. I only interact with them via facebook posts. Kinda odd that it happened around the middle of last week. Of course I didn't click on that link. Sent the entire unopened email to the trash folder asap.
Is there a memo I didn't get about what's going on??? Any life rafts left? Way too many members seem to have jumped ship lately.
And no one besides me wished Matt a Happy Birthday a couple days back.

Nah, i think everyone is still here. Your facebook incident seems unrelated to this site. Happens when a friend of yours gets hacked, or you friend a stranger.
