You can catch plenty of nice Whiting from Tybee Island Pier (GA) during early April, crabs will be hit or miss. If they are in the surf zone then you will get bunches, if not, you'll get none. Yes, the bite will be consistent then, but plan on catching Rays along with pan-fish. Note, the pier is currently closed due to damage by Matthew. It WILL be fixed and reopened but CHECK before you come, it may NOT be ready then. It is owned and managed by Chatham County, not Tybee Island, so check with them for info.

I'm looking to come to the Georgia or South Carolina Coast in 4/3/17 - 4/9/17.
Can anyone recommend a pier with consistent fishing and crabbing around this time?
By consistent fishing and crabbing I'm just looking for a consistent bite (even if it's just spot, croaker, etc), and consistent catching of crabs.
