Hello,

I'm looking to come to the Georgia or South Carolina Coast in 4/3/17 - 4/9/17.

Can anyone recommend a pier with consistent fishing and crabbing around this time?

By consistent fishing and crabbing I'm just looking for a consistent bite (even if it's just spot, croaker, etc), and consistent catching of crabs.

Thanks for any help.

crabs- you want to be in the marsh

We lost several piers to the hurricane. Garden City is usually decent due to it proximity to MI. Apache is indeed the longest. I do not know much about Cherry Grove other than that it was more expensive than the others at one point.

You can catch plenty of nice Whiting from Tybee Island Pier (GA) during early April, crabs will be hit or miss. If they are in the surf zone then you will get bunches, if not, you'll get none. Yes, the bite will be consistent then, but plan on catching Rays along with pan-fish. Note, the pier is currently closed due to damage by Matthew. It WILL be fixed and reopened but CHECK before you come, it may NOT be ready then. It is owned and managed by Chatham County, not Tybee Island, so check with them for info.

Crabs will be inshore.
You can catch a billion small croaker on shrimp or cut bait if you just want to catch something. Small hooks small pieces of bait. You can also fill coolers full of whiting that time of year, just depends on if they're where you are or not.

I would go further south as you will have warmer water (usually) and that (again, ususally) means more fish. April is hard. Last year everywhere you are looking was still cool (water temps) in April. I like tybee but I am still learning how to fish it. My best luck has been from a yak there but I am hoping to get some beach fish this time around also.
