I pier fish maybe a couple times a year and my father is coming to town and I am planning on taking him pier fishing while he is here. My question is does it matter about the tide being in or out for the fish to bite? I have always heard that they bite better when the tide is in. Which pier is better Grandview or Lynnhaven?

Thanks for any replies, wannabe angler!!!!!

I usually try to fish the incoming tide (1-2 hours before high tide) and stay to fish the outgoing tide as well!

I would hit Grandview before I would hit Lynnhaven. You may want to call the piers to see what the action is before you come down.

The same here. Usually a couple hours before thru a couple hours after. Although, I have had some interesting results near the shoreline at very low tide.
