Hey Guys,
I hope everyone is fairing as well as one can under the cicumstances.
I am hoping that we can keep this thread alive with the Md. and Va. Pier damage reports as they come in.
It has taken a lot of surfing (surfing I would be doing anyway) to sort thru all the threads on a lot of sites to come up with the little info that I have.
Mostly hear say.....
Maryland Piers
Romancoke damaged, does anyone know of any others?
Virginia Piers
Buckroe, Grandview, Harrisons, Lynnhaven, Sea Gull and Sandbridge, all damaged.
I would also like to hear about Del. Cape Henlopen.
What do you Guys say we try to collect a tally on this one thread of the damages?
I'm posting this same thread on Md. and Va. site.

Lynnhaven pier took serious damage 3/4 of the way from the end of the pier but other than a lot of loose planks (designed to break away when waves hit them) the pier is ok.

I just talked to the owners and I will be helping to nail down boards. An inspector checked out the pier and said that if all floor planks are nailed down and a cross beam nailed in front of the damaged part the pier can open tomorrow morning.

I will post an update later this evening.
