Is there any type of data base for production data for the older, (1970' back), reels?

I would like to determine the approximate production era of a number of older Penn reels in my collection based on their attributes. An example would be Models 80 & 85 that have a non-metal spool and wooden handle knob. I understand from a previous post that the 85 was first introduced prior to 1941 and was in production into the 80's. I also have quite a few Garcia Mitchell spinning & conventional reels as well. There is a website which has helped me determine the approximate dates of manufacture of these reels and was hoping to find one for Penn reels. I have searched the Internet but have found only a very limited amount of information on Pen reel production eras.
