[light tackler]

I have a 9ft penn prevail rod with a penn battle II 6800 reel currently with 20 pound mono on it. I feel like I'm not getting enough distance on my cast. Should I change up to a different line type or would that not make a difference? Thanks ahead of time

Braid usually casts better than mono. Also you can youtube other casting styles to get a better cast.

load it up with a quality 15# braid and you will see a good increase in distance
