I see that there is a Penn 535 mag being sold in the UK. It is a standard 535gs with a special endplate made in the UK with a knobby type magnet similar to the 525 magT. It does not have the 525 mag type spool, it has the standard 535gs. Sounds like a winner!:) Larry.

Big Brother, we - Penn Europe - do indeed make a 545 and 555 Mag, same as I described for the 535 Mag in Larry's post. I just found one of the prototype plates with mag for a 545/555. I will be in Delaware in August if you want one. BB

Sorry, no left hand 525 mag - yet??? BB

Larry, I do have a 525 Mag also. I use the 525 on a Zziplex 3500S. I think of the 525 as a racehorse and the 535 as my workhorse. Plenty of line capacity and the knoby mag adds plenty of control.
I like the knobby because I don,t have to worry about knocking the mags off.
My last trip out I was throwing into a headwind and didn't realize I'd pushed the mags off the 525. It wasn't pretty.:p
