I'd call around to other places. Crabs "peel" or shed their shells all summer long, but the majority shed just before or just after the full moon which is the 12th of this month, so they should be available somewhere reel soon. I have a good friend that is a commercial crabber and most of the commie crabbers run peelers mainly in the spring and catch hard crabs the rest of the summer, but there should be some out there still doing the peeler thing.
