We fished the marsh and ocean from 9am until the last bad storm came through at about 6 o clock. We caught a small black drum, 2 keeper black drum, a huge pinfish, 2 small rays and a small seatrout (on a freshwater beetlespin the looked like a sunfish LOL). Fished shrimp all day and artificials. It wasn't the best of days but it sure beat sitting inside looking at 4 walls. Anyone else get to go fishing?

Cody, great report & pics! I always liked fishing at Pawley's even if I didn't catch anything.

I didn't go in the salt, but spent 2 hours fishing the lake (Marion) from one of the road sides near my house. I was tossing an underspin type jig (Silver Fox brand I think) with a firetiger plastic swimbait on it, panfish size, with an ultra light rod. Caught a channel cat about a foot long & a fat LM bass, also about a foot long. Called it quit's when the rain started again, about 5 PM. Hey, like you say, better than being inside looking at the walls! :fishing:

I live in Manning, down near the dam off of Rt 260. I'm from MD. Lived there my entire life until moving here last July. I've vacationed at Pawley's in the past when I still lived in MD.

I wanted to live near good fishing, bass, panfish, Stripers & close enough to the coast, that it's not a long drive, so here I am in Manning. :D

I'm on Lesesne, off Patriot. Seems to me, you & I may have done this on another site too.

If not, another guy told me his parents live near the dam also. Do you have a boat? If I recall correctly he had a boat.
Anyway, we'll have to get together & do some fishing someday! :D
