Went down to Jug Bay this morning and a lot of people were catching catfish. But it was little too crowded for me so we hit a different stretch of Jug Bay in the Anne Arundel county and I hooked up with two White Perch jigging with a white trout magnet. And Their it something I have noticed; does anyone no why it is harder to catch white perch with lures on Patuxent River (Jug Bay) than the Potomac River. I did it today put it took a lot of jigging and workin for a long time. But if I hit swan creek of piscataway creek i can catch dozens?

I've learned that you need to match the forage fish (size and color) and sometimes just experiment with different colors and type of lures. The lures I use at the Wye river don't work as well at the Potomac.
