Anyone have any suggestions for good places to fish? I live in Brooksville, and I know about Jenkins Creek but I was looking for a good beach or another good pier, Hudson Beach maybe? I'm new to fishing and I've got a 7' med rod with a 2500FD reel. I'm getting a 7' M/H Ugly Stik combo in a couple of weeks. Live shrimp on a 1/2 oz Jig head.

Someone else from Brooksville! Have you tried Bayport? I used to fish out there a lot.

Haven't tried Bayport since the first time I went fishing, but I think it was too hot. Been going to Jenkins Creek. Caught some mangrove snapper there this week!
