If you're going to spray it yourself, get a high quality automotive spray, and always follow the can directions for for prepping the surface and finishing ( top clear coat) stay away from cheaper rattle cans. Alternatively you can take it to a boat paint shop or a maaco, I've had both do blanks for about $20, less by the piece if you're having multiple blanks sprayed. Be prepared to provide a piece of blank that will slide up inside the bottom of your blank if you want it sprayed to the butt, most places will only spray to within 10" of the butt as the technician needs somewhere to hold the blank...
