I have been using conventionals for many years and love my tricked out Abu's, stock Saltists and worked on Penn 525's. Now I have a opportunity to buy a Diawa Saltiga Surf Spinning reel to match up with a Rainshadow 11'6". Like most I went from spinning to the darkside but now these spinners seem like they should get the job done and would be easy to teach to a novice (wife) to use. They're a little pricey but ......
