That is what I would assume, as it would make for 2 potentially hazardous intersections and the burden of maintenance .... just for seasonal use and us dang "visitors".
Just adds a little more to the "reserves" ;)

At a glance, it looked like that's what they were doing at the N end when we bugged out Sat.
Be nice if they left/built a nice parking pad at that northern intersection for walk ins.

About a month ago l talked to a guy walking the beach there and he had parked on the old road and a cop chased him out and said no vehicles were allowed. Eventually that road will be removed. There is a new parking lot open just north of the north end of the bridge, with a beach access path over some high dunes.
