Not at this time of year. Rutgers shows that light blue 52-55 degree water sneaking up the coast. Congrats to those who were in the right place at the right time. I'd be curious to know what bait they used?

I'm more inclined to think it was warmer water leaving the sound. From what I understand the pups are around in force. Big ones can't be far away.

The water in the sound is cold. The water on the beach is warming due to the SW winds pushing the water in from the stream.

sound water stayed about 4 degrees lower from sun to yesterday, beach was empty
