Lures at night, in the lights.
Or eels drifted in the current.
You can't fight current like that, you gotta go with it.

The current rolls through there on a regular tide, I can't imagine it on a storm tide.
Most bait lines are seaweed clogged in minutes.
Lures, Gotchas, to small 1/8 oz jig heads on a weighted line work best there at night.
Sabiki jigs, cut off a rig 2 at a time, with an oz or two weight tied on the end will catch you all the fish you want there on a good night.
