Hi, I've been reading past posts that show a little distaste for Myrtle Beach itself. Some of the pier areas hotels (Surfside) have been taken over by partiers, posts like that. I'm looking to fish somewhere in May, and wanted to ask about North Myrtle or south of Myrtle...someplace a bit quieter (I hope). I love pier fishing, but the surf is just as fine.
Any thoughts? (And what would be catchable in May?
Hope I'm not sounding too addled. It's been a rough week.
Thanks to you.

I've been looking at places to surf fish in North Myrtle as well. I'm down there for July 4th most years and get tired of sitting on a beach just to sit there (though my friends love it.....). After looking at Google earth there is some walk in public access spots at the very north end of north Myrtle Beach. Looks like about a 200-300 yard walk to the surf from these points of access. I don't think many people use that end of the beach.
