Saw this knot (called a no-knot knot) on a catfish/carp site while looking online for how to tie different knots and it looked interesting to use as a snell. Has anyone every heard of it or used it, and if so how did it perform?

I searched for it on google and came up with a device that you attach to lure and the no name knot.

My Gawd, it took the guy in the second 6 min video 3 min before he tied the dang knot, lol but yes I have used the no knot I don't do the three wraps back to the eye. I do 6 wraps and back through the eye pull tight, figure 8 on the other end. Works well. I don't use it all the time, just when the notion strikes me.
That first video no way. I can see myself in the wind trying to melt the line with a bic, lol (the guy needs to blow his nose, IMHO) just sayin'
