I Lost two bass right at my feet at Smithville Lake. Then went to a little country store where they make a great Itailan subs. Stopped at my Daughter Margie's for a chat. Then home to eat the subs and drink a beer with Pat the Brat. Country living has it's good points. But I still miss FL. No fish today.

Well CYT I'm gonna test the forecast heading down to grasonville sat and Sunday God willing. Sat with friends Sunday with dad and daughters. They gonna be fishing for spots I'm trying to catch the blues chasing them spot

Any time the water Temp. drops even a little, the fishing is good for me. Glade I don't have to deal with the weather and boat fishing any more. If the Capt. don't go out,there are a lot of places to fish from shore on Kent Island. You probably already know that. Just killing time here.

I talked to the Capt he said he can squeeze us in tomorrow and plenty room for Sunday. As for shore fishing I only know right there at the docks for Shirley bii and the other 3 boats there. Tomorrow is my 2nd trip to the area so any shore suggestions would be greatly appreciated for future trips. Remember I'm 2hrs away so I doubt I can fish often enough to hurt anyone's honey hole

Matapeake or Romancke pier on Kent Island. Should be Blues, Spot, WP and Whiting available. $10 cash to fish both.

CYT I fished matapeak before did ok on blues 1 legal striper spot were tiny cut bait no white perch wasn't that impressed. Think I would rather fish the docks near Shirleybii until proven otherwise but thanks for suggesting

X2 you will do much better fishing the docks and in marinas then people fishing Matapeak or Romancoke pier. IMO. but you probably already know that. Might help someone else. Net some grass shrimp and see what happens.
