I'm moving to Durham this weekend. I'm in search of where to get some information about fishing in the area. Saltwater info and freshwater info is welcomed. Thanks alot.

Hey smokie. welcome to the bull city.
dont know were to get official fishing
info but i know were to wet your lines.
i,m about 5 min. from falls lake. Great
crappie ,cat and large mouth fishing. On
the other side of the bull city we have
jordan lake ,a trophy sized crappie factory.
As for salt h2o I just wait for decent weather, load up the ole truck and follow the
scent of the ocean!!!!!!normally round 2 1/2
hours.

Bull City,
I have a 15' Jon boat with only a trolling motor. Is it going to do me any good or do I have to have some horse power on the back  .

Smoke you'll be fine in the river but on the lake theirs alot of ground to cover.I guess if you got time on your hands and a fish finder you can get on um werever they may be.
i've got a 14 j boat w/10 horses taint much
but it gets the job done.
Been dreamin of a 19 -20 foot center console myself so i can hit the ICWaterway near Wilmington nc or the chesapeke bay . 1 day !!!
