New guy to saltwater.. .HEEEEEEEELLLPPP!!!!!!!!!!

Hello every one I am new to the sight and to the great sport that is saltwater fishing (never knew what iwas missin) Was out at Lynnhaven pier a few times before it closed for the seson caught lots of drum and striper but nothin since is everyone doing this bad or is it just me??? Any help would be A great help.
