Decided to fish the neighborhood pond Saturday morning. Figured the water was cold so I'd use small 3" plastics, Texas rigged. First hour - nothing. Swithed over to my favorite stickbait - Zoom Magnum Finessr worm rigged weightless and caught two nice bass within an hour.

Nice bass!
Got 2 about that size yesterday up at Tuckahoe in 1 hr. Wind was cranking, not ideal conditions.

Both fish caught on a Texas rigged 'Gulp purple sinking minnow.

The fish are there and so are we! I finally took some time off from rod building (one rebuild, another a new build) to enjoy the nice weekend we had. Now it's back to work for me!

I have tried the sinking minnows but have not had much luck with them. Do you fish them unweighed since they sick like a rock? EWG hooks?

Wat to go Sandcrab, Them Delaware ponds are good. I use to fish them a lot in winter.

They normally don't swim right with out a very small bullet weight.
