I am going to be around Rudee Inlet for the first time in a couple of weeks. How easy is it to access? Is there shore fishing? What can I expect to catch? What size tackle should I bring? Thanks in advance for any information you can share?

there is both access to shore and boat fishing there. the shore fishing is mainly restricted to dry fishing as oppsed to wading. the species are numerous in variety: trout, flounder, blues, and the occasional puppy drum and striped bass are what u can expect to see. there are usually spot and croaker as well. light action to medium action inshore combos probably best suit this area. hope this helps;)

All the above, GREAT advice. Here's my 2 cents......

Fishing License
Feed the meters (where can locals park for a dollar????) free Wed

I've seen trout being caught from the South side on the beach lately and aong the sea wall.

Saw a 13" spec today and heard of a 17" puppy.
LOTS of small flounder 8-17.4999999999" ( some keepers to keep it interesting.

Fresh bunker is good to add as a strip with a minnow; so is flounder belly;)

My last bit of advice is to obey the rules/laws in order to have a relaxing, enjoyable experience....nothing like coming back to an empty parking spot where you left your car...oh, yeah, and keep looking in here:)

the parking lot almost directly under the bridge. I'm not sure if there is a time restraint on that because i usually go down in the evening after work so it's always a buck. i show my registration since i have a PA ID and they charge a dollar.
