I will be in N. Myrtle from the 23rd to the 29th of July visiting my dad and his new wife. I am looking for information on fishing the shore and sounds waters. I fish out of a kayak or from the beach or bank. I would really like to fish from the kayak. I fly fish and conventional. So any advise would be great. And if anyone has a boat and would like to take out a Virginian, I would be willing to help with gas and food and such.

I do not fish North Myrtle much but I know a few places you can try. In Cherry Grove there is a boat landing at 53rd? ave. and there is a good spot to the left of the landing on the opposite side of the channel you can reach in your kayak. There are a couple other good spots back in the Inlet; just look for the other boats thats where the fish will be. Another place is where the cannel empties into the ocean. If the fly rod doesn't work buy a castnet throw it at the bridge at 53rd and use that for bait.
