Need opinions for a surf rod to pair up with a blue yonder. So I was able to find a real blue yonder made in sweden that has never been used. I want a nice rod for it but not break the bank. Any and all opinions always help! The fun part is going to be learning the blue yonder!

Many options available depending on the species you might target, where you will fish, etc. My blue yonder is married up to a CPS 12 ft 3-7 oz rod. I'm bias but I believe it is a great match for most surf applications.

I would suggest getting a nice rod like the CPS 12 footer I have or one of Tommy's other rods as the blue yonder deserves a nice mate.

I have an original blue yonder Ive had for years I bought at TW's a long time ago, its semi retired now but I have it matched up with a tsunami airwave 10ft rated 2 to 6 oz, I use it for pups, roundhead etc in the first cut super light normally throw 4 or 5 ounces with it occasionally will lob 6 oz if current bad, not a rod for 6 and a head or anything like that but perfect for the small stuff and the reel matches the rod!
