Fished from 530a-1030a kept 31 white perch and 1 bluefish threw back at least 20 white perch 2 sunnies and 2 short stripers caught most of the fish on tandem trout magnet rig then a guy asked me if I could catch stripers also so I put a rattle trap on and bam 2nd cast 1st of 2 short stripers caught and lost many of the white perch and who knows what other fish on rattle trap something broke off my rattle trap wish I would have seen it my 1st time fishing this spot in over 30yrs God willing will definitely be back

Catman in the early to mid 80s my grandfather use to take us there for spot and blues when I seen it on Google earth I new it was the same place and guess what after telling my dad I'm going back tomorrow with him god willing in the morning again but I will admit I don't remember the boat rental place being there and they said they been there for 60yrs

Yup I knew exactly where your fishing as soon as you said something about the boat rental. The only folks I've seen fishing there are the locals. Enjoy the time with your dad.

Actually while there I talked to a guy said he was from DC I told him about this site and lots of guys post about spots over there and this other couple was from elkton they were surprised I was catching on jigs and stopped bottom fishing and switched over man they were happy their granddaughter reeled in many white perch after that yea me and dad fish together Very often

Nice! I think I know the area your fishing. It is too far for me now. Where I live now I fish the other way closer to the Ocean. Did you every wade and dip crabs in that area?

I never waded and dipped crabs but I saw a few people doing just that. Well me and dad just got back brung home 17 perch and 1 bunker gonna use him nxt trip my dad used my rig and caught most of the fish I tried fishing a spoon tipped with cut bait hoping I could fish deeper and slower for bigger perch it worked to a degree just nowhere near as much activity but it was great seeing dad in action like I was the day before all in all great trip oh dad did throw back 2 sunnies and 3 short stripers
